Project ARISE (Accelerating Reading Intervention for Systemic Excellence) is supported by the California Department of Education’s Reading Instruction and Intervention grant program to ensure that all students have access to high-quality reading instruction and all teachers have access to research-backed literacy professional development.
Equip Educators for Success
Offer comprehensive literacy training for teachers and paraprofessionals in using screening strategies and evidence-based literacy instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Implement Intensive Intervention
Equip educators with tools to implement intensive intervention strategies, particularly for students facing reading challenges.
Empower Educational Leaders
Provide professional development for leaders at all levels to effectively lead evidence-based reading instruction, including biliteracy, addressing the needs of diverse learners across all levels, from early learners to those with disabilities or dyslexia.
Develop Executive Functioning Skills
Extend professional learning opportunities to all educators to nurture students' executive functioning skills, laying a strong foundation for academic success.
